For many years Dorten has been covering the daily operations, many special measures and one or two of the relaunches of payback.de. Dorten consultant Katja is running this business in “third generation”. She and her predecessors Heike and Nina talk about PAYBACK.

PAYBACK has been a client of AGI, the predecessor agency of Dorten. How did the relationship start?
Katja: As far as I know, there was a television feature about AGI at Sat1 or Pro7, and then someone from PAYBACK called AGI.

How has payback.de changed in the past ten years?
Katja: A strong field of change the complete issue of e-commerce.
Heike: Definitely. In the beginning, this sector was of lower importance in the internet division. Print was much more important, then.
 
What did you learn from the cooperation?
Heike: PAYBACK is a very demanding client. They have issued a few slaps in our face over time. But their briefings are spot-on and they stick to the time-line.
Nina: What has also been interesting is that the work for PAYBACK never starts at A and ends at Z. It’s a continuous process with all its ups and downs.

How many PAYBACK points do you have in your accounts?
Nina: This very moment? About 280.
Heike: None, because I have just ordered something and traded the rest for Lufthansa Miles.
Katja: Wow, then I win. I got 1,487!
